The name Advanced Glazings Ltd. is derived from the highly respected Advanced Glazing Materials laboratory at the University of Waterloo. It was in this laboratory that Prof. K. Terry Hollands, inventor of transparent insulation, continued the development of a commercially viable version of his unique concept. Doug Milburn received his Ph.D. as a result of work carried out under Prof. Hollands. Doug created Advanced Glazings Ltd. to complete the development process and commercialize transparent insulation. The relationship between Prof. Hollands and Advanced Glazings Ltd. continues to this day. |
